Set 6 Draft Primer – Dysian

This article is an introductory to drafting the factions Uterra and Nekrium – the faction pair called Dysian. You can find the other faction primers here:

  • Byzerak
  • Umbruk
  • OratekTo be Released 9/28
  • EsperianTo be Released 10/5
  • OnyxiumTo be Released 10/12

What is Dysian? What can I expect from Nekrium/Uterra?

Dysian in previous formats has had a lot of different aspects you could build decks with. You could strangle the board with the many token producers of Uterra and utilize those tokens with Nekrium’s sacrifice outlets. Now, however, most of those things are gone, or replaced with lesser versions. Dysian now is fairly one dimensional – it likes taking a creature and making it huge and impossible to kill. Set 6 Draft Primer – Umbruk

This article is an introduction to drafting the factions Uterra and Tempys – the faction pair called Umbruk. You can find the other faction primers here:

  • Byzerak
  • Dysian
  • OratekTo be Released 9/28
  • EsperianTo be Released 10/5
  • OnyxiumTo be Released 10/12

What is Umbruk? What can I expect from Tempys/Uterra?

This is no longer the case in Set 6.   Continue reading

Set 6 Draft Primer – Byzerak

This article is an introductory to drafting the factions Tempys and Nekrium – the faction pair called Byzerak. You can find the other faction primers here:

  • Umbruk
  • Dysian
  • Oratek – To be Released 9/28
  • Esperian – To be Released 10/5
  • Onyxium – To be Released 10/12

What is Byzerak? What can I expect from Nekrium/Tempys?

Byzerak takes the aggressive and powerful Tempys cards and pairs it with the board control and durable creatures of Nekrium. I’ve found two main ways to play Byzerak – a more aggressive approach, and a board control one.

Deckbuilding 101 – Avoiding Tunnel Vision

Deckbuilding is one of the more difficult aspects of Solforge. There are many cards, each of them do different things, they interact differently with each other. It’s very easy to get overwhelmed, or be singularly focused on one aspect of your deck that you forget to consider other factors. Plus, you have to make sure you have the cards, consider the field of decks you expect to see, and so many other little things. Deckbuilding is hard.

This article addresses deckbuilding and aims to help strengthen how players think about building their decks.
